It's Ours! The Day of Our Closing

Cherish's Dream Kitchen
BEFORE	We tore out the cabinets and old appliances and all that fun stuff.	My dad and Randy tear out the nasty 70's tile from the kitchen. It came up very easy cause the glue was SO old it just peeled right up!	Ripped out the floor down to the foundation... And the cabinets were so old that they crumbled apart in our hands

When we ripped out the cabinets, we realized that the plumbing was so old that it had NO shut-off valves, so we replaced it.	Randy didn't know when he sold us the house that he'd also have to re-do my entire plumbing system! THANKS RANDY!	Yeah, tearing it all apart was the EASY part! Now we've got to get it all put back together in only TWO WEEKS	Laying down a new subfloor...we needed to RAISE the floor in the kitchen to meet the wood floors in the other rooms.

The Finished Kitchen

The Living Room
BEFORE		Brian and Tyler Tear down a door frame and a useless wall separating the Living Room & the Kitchen	Check out Tyler flexing those muscles!

The Finished Living Room
New couches, and a new wall and a fresh new paint job...	...does wonders to brighten up the Living Room	The TV Unit and the hallway

The Family Room
BEFORE		So we begin by ripping off all of the old paneling and moulding.	Then a brighter coat of paint, and some newer, brighter, more modern paneling goes up.

The Finished Family Room
The view from the couch of the Big Screen TV - can't wait for FOOTBALL SEASON !!!	Brian & Cherish's own personal LIBRARY....what can I say, we LOVE to read...

The Office / Computer Room
BEFORE	Here we see the stages of the paneling project. We used the same paneling for the family room too.	The walls are painted and the paneling is hung.	Then the moulding goes on and really finishes it off nicely.

Alright, ignore the boxes, but we do have a day bed in the office too for quick conversion into a guest bedroom	Cherish hard at work on her computer And, of course, Mel Gibson watches over her as she works....

The Bedrooms
BEFORE
Weird sponge-paint on all the walls in Tyler's Bedroom	Shrek takes a nap in this corner...???	The Master Bedroom was pretty baren....	No paint, nothing. Just stark white walls...leaves plenty of room for creativity.

The Finished Bedrooms

Extra Stuff
This was a paint splotch on the bathroom floor. Tell me it doesn't look like an ALIEN IN A MOTORBOAT!	One of my dad's many spills....	Cherish after painting the ceilings.	Tyler hides in his new closet. Kind of a weird optical illusion
